Everyday photography asks for attention more than equipment. A hallway shadow, a leaf after rain, sunlight on a dashboard, the angle of a coffee cup on a tired afternoon: small scenes can carry more feeling than a grand view.
Look for edges
Light becomes interesting where it changes. The edge of a shadow. The rim of a hood ornament. The line where sunset catches fur or glass or chrome. Edges give the eye something to follow.
Leave room for quiet
Not every frame needs to be full. Empty space can make a subject feel stronger, calmer, or more honest. The image gets to breathe, which is polite of it.
The ordinary keeps offering itself. Photography is one way of answering back.
